Sunny corner VIST
Free post-summer analyzes of skin condition and possible damage due to UV rays, which are the main reason for accelerated skin aging (i.e. photoaging), and counseling.
Implemented by the Department of Cosmetics VIST – Faculty of Applied Sciences within the Smart with the Sun program for healthy and youthful skin with the support of the Ministry of Health. The goal of the program, which VIST has been implementing since l. 2015, is raising awareness of the importance of adequate protection against excessive exposure to the sun and other sources of UV rays, for example in solariums.
They will use special devices to measure the condition of the skin (eg elasticity, structure of the dermis, the condition of the skin surface…) and to determine the condition and changes of the skin due to exposure to UV rays. With these devices, they can detect early skin changes when they are not yet visible on the outside, but they can later lead to visible signs of photoaging and skin disease changes.
The implementation will be led by Masters of Cosmetics Tina Pogačnik and Petra Keršmanc, senior lecturers and researchers at the Department of Cosmetics VIST.
